“These Are Not The Droids” – or “Droids”, to keep it simple – is a blog about the everyday working life of me, a sole Internal Communications professional, and it aims to bring some frustrations and issues to the surface which I cannot discuss with a team of people… because I don’t have a team of people.

As many other Internal Communicators will know, the role of IComms is a difficult one – proving ROI on communications is fickle, getting people to see the value in communicating regularly with their teams is a continual uphill struggle and getting any sort of credit for the hard work which goes into IComms is almost unheard of.

However, that said, IComms is one of the most enjoyable professions around – interesting, compelling, creative, expansive, etc.  It’s a fascinating world.
